Persiguiendo un sueño was such a rewarding read for me as an intermediate Spanish learner! It was easy to follow but still helped me learn new vocabulary and sentence structures without feeling overwhelmed. I felt connected to the characters and loved that the story takes place in the southern U.S. where I live. It made the experience feel familiar and exciting at the same time. This book really boosted my confidence, and I was proud to be able to discuss it in Spanish each week with my Profesora. I definitely recommend it for anyone looking to build fluency through an engaging story!

This is a sequel to Agnes’ first book, Persiguiendo un Sueño. I was interested in reading more about the lives of the intriguing characters. In this book, the younger of the two brothers goes out on his own and further develops his romance. As with the first book, this was a fun way to practice reading Spanish at the intermediate level and to gain new vocabulary with the author’s highlighted words.

Reading this book made it easier for me to learn and practice Spanish at the intermediate level. The interesting story and characters’ lives held my attention which encouraged me to finish reading the book. Vocabulary at the intermediate stage can be increased with highlighted words which are translated at the bottom of the page. The chapters were easy to read in 30 minutes which allows for good break points to digest what’s been read. I highly recommend this book!
